Official programming for BalkanFilmBazaar2012 in Oslo is now available here. All screenings will take place in CINEMATEKET's screening hall Lillebil on Monday the 19th of March 2012 from 15_00 until 23_00. Entrance to screenings is free.

BALKAN FILM BAZAAR in Oslo is a creative and educational short film festival established with the aim to introduce young Balkan cinema to wide Oslo audiences. BALKAN FILM BAZAAR 2012 will present 31 short films of all styles from different Balkan countries. All films will be screened in original languages with English subtitles.

BALKAN FILM BAZAAR 2011 in Oslo will take place on the 12th of April 2011 in Cinema Neuf (Slemdalsveien 15) and will present 26 contemporary short films from different Balkan countries ranging from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece to Turkey. Additional educational short film screenings are going to take place also next day on the 13th of April 2011 in Cinema Neuf during OSLO INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM NIGHT where the selection of international short films from Ljubljana International Short Film Festival 2011 (SLO) will be presented to wide Oslo audiences. In total 22 contemporary short films from different countries ranging from Finland, Spain, Russia, Armenia to Iran will be presented as a part of this LISFF2011 retrospective in Oslo. SPECIAL
As a part of both film screenings in Oslo a special live concert of Oslo based band RAKIJA will be organized in BokCafeen (Chateau Neuf, Slemdalsveien 15) on the 12th of April 2011.
“The band Rakija was formed in 2007 in Oslo, gradually becoming a musical collective with musicians from Serbia and Norway. They play traditional music from the Balkan region presented in fresh, modern arrangements, and incorporating elements from rock and classical music. The concert will start at 22.30 in the evening on the 12th of April in Bokcafeen in Chateau Neuf (Slemdalsveien 15). Entrance to the concert is free.
